How It Works

About Our AI

AI is quite the buzz word right now and frankly is often over used, so we’d like to take a moment to explain how our AI works and why we think AI in therapy is useful.

To be specific our AI is generative AI, meaning it takes an input, processes it and generates an output based on what information it was just given and instructions that it has been taught in the past.

What makes our AI work is that it has specifically been taught how to format therapy notes, what language therapists use, what subjects come up in a therapy session, what needs to be included in a therapy note, and a host of other therapy related information. On top of that we have finely tuned our AI by running thousands of test notes through the system to ensure consistency and quality.

Our method is significantly different from generalized AI chat bots like Gemini, Claude, or ChatGPT. These platforms are designed to be able to answer a large swath of questions without a specific focus, this is great for general knowledge questions but when it comes to doing a specific task they are not the best option. That’s where Psych Scribe excels, as it has been taught specifically to write therapy notes.

At Psych Scribe we firmly believe that AI can improve our lives if used correctly, our goal has and always will be to create a product that improves your life. Through the use of specialized AI we foresee a future where therapists no longer have note anxiety and even a future with reduced therapist burnout.
