Psych Scribe was founded in 2024 by Craig and Niousha, a husband-and-wife team on a mission to make therapy notes faster and easier. The same year they were expecting their first child. It just felt like there was too much to do and not enough time. Note anxiety was cutting into personal time and creating unnecessary stress. Work/Life balance was getting blurry and as a W-2 employee, Niousha found herself doing notes off the clock. Craig, with a background in software engineering, saw an opportunity to help. Together, they built Psych Scribe: an AI-powered tool designed to streamline note-taking without sacrificing accuracy or privacy.
Psych Scribe is not a VC-backed Silicon Valley tech startup. We don’t answer to a board, we aren’t looking for an exit, and we don’t have investors to please. Our only priority is helping therapists be more present with their clients and in their lives. We’re a bootstrapped husband-and-wife team who built this tool to solve a real problem—one we’ve experienced firsthand.
Today, Psych Scribe serves private practices across the country, helping clinicians regain valuable time for themselves and their clients. Whether it’s spending more time with family, reducing burnout, or simply ending the workday on time, we believe that better notes lead to a better work-life balance.
